Do you want to receive value for money by getting empowered in the practical use of English at the workplace and in the social environment? After taking this course on Learning Nouns, learners will ultimately understand why nouns are the first Part of Speech in English to help them improve their Transmission Skills - speaking and writing.
Learners will understand that nouns are the names of people, places, animals and things. Moreover, learners will know the importance of Vowels and Consonants in the study of Number (singular and plural noouns).
Learners will learn about Singular and Plural nouns. Singular means one. Plural means more than one. The study of Number is important as it helps learners to connect the dots when they attempt the study of Agreement (using the correct verbs that agree with the subject which is a noun - singular or plural). In this lesson, learners will be shown how plurals of nouns are formed in the English language.
Learners will know the difference between nouns of Masculine (male) and Feminine (female) gender.
Some nouns can be counted (Countables) and some nouns cannot be counted (Uncountables). Moreover, learners must know when to use a few, many, a little, much, a lot of, several, etc.
A noun used to show possession is said to be in the Possessive Case. The possessive answers the question WHOSE? Learners will also understand how to use the apostrophe in sentences. In addition, learners will know where to place the apostrophe in singular and plural nouns.
Proper Nouns are the special names of people, places and things.
Collective Nouns are group terms.
